In the center of the photo in the center of Wenceslas Square which is the center of Prague. This is the closest “namesti” to us. Yes, it is the Good King Wenceslas the Ist. This square is really a divided boulevard about four blocks long; pedestrian areas in the middle with shops, restaurants, hotels and casinos along the side. And a good bookstore with English books, plus STARBUCKS! And a KFC! That is me in the purple jacket standing at attention! (In case you can’t find purple, look for white hair!
Behind is the National Museum, a Metro stop and behind all that is the Opera House. Unfortunately we never got into the Museum, but will next visit!
Looking down the “square”. We are heading to Old Town Namesti (Square) at the far end. From there we walked to the Republic Square. All in between are quaint shops, homes/apartments, cobbled streets, restaurants, and music and art galleries, you name it.
